Goals
After attending this seminar students will have the knowledge to select which technologies are right for their QuickTime delivery needs and understand the uses of Sorenson Video, Qualcomm PureVoice and QDesign Music CODECS. Students will have a basic understanding of encoding pre-prepared content using Media Cleaner Pro and producing live streaming web broadcasts using Sorenson Broadcaster.

Audience
This course is for webmasters, web designers, video editors and directors and anyone else interested in delivering video and audio on the web.

Prerequisites
This course has no prerequisites. However, it makes a fantastic follow up to any of our courses on web design or non-linear editing systems.

Student materials contain information necessary for the class, including a class outline, exclusive QuickTime reference materials developed by FMC and information on the products and services demonstrated in the seminar.

Presentation Method
The course is presented seminar style. The morning session covers the QuickTime architecture, CODECs and QuickTime server technologies. The afternoon sessions include demonstrations of encoding, staging and live webcasting of QuickTime content.

Dale Sorenson is President of Sorenson Services USA, an Apple Solution Expert Consultant and a veteran trainer with over a decade of experience teaching seminars for companies including FMC, Apple Computer and MacCamp. Based in New York City, Sorenson Services USA provides expert digital video and streaming media consulting, training, encoding, compression and project management to help content providers integrate streaming video and audio into their web sites.
