Softimage|XSI



Course Description

This course provides a thorough introduction to the features of Softimage's XSI system. The session covers a wide variety of concepts and functions of this state of the art non-linear animation tool. Sessions are divided into instructor-led lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice modules which stress a creative, problem-solving approach.

Goals

  • Understand Softimage's XSI tools, interface, terms and concepts
  • Independently create non-linear animation utilizing XSI, including, modeling, scripting, keyframing, duplication, deformation and building simple characters
  • Create characters and clips, incorporating storing, playback and blending
