New York – March 30, 2015 - Future Media Concepts is pleased to announce the launch of a new post-production training event: FCPX Creative Summit, San Jose, California. The conference consists of three full days of sessions and presentations (June 26-28), preceded by one afternoon warm up session on Thursday June 25.
The conference agenda is a perfect blend of technical step-by-step demonstrations, as well as panel discussions, keynote presentations, and ‘war room’ stories. Attendees will learn practical tips for organizing media to save time, explore built-in features and essential plug-ins, compression and distribution techniques, audio and color correction practices, as well as hear ‘lessons learned’ from peers and experts who will share case studies.
“This is a chance to learn from the best – from Motion Pictures through everyday best use. This is the Final Cut Pro X event you don’t want to miss – including the trip to Apple’s HQ”, said Jeff Greenberg, Program Manager for the conference.
The event will kick off with a visit the Apple Campus in Cupertino where conference attendees can hear directly from the Apple team. In a two-hour session called Final Cut Pro Today, event participants will gain perspective on how this video editing software has changed, and how it continues to innovate today. During the second day of the conference, attendees will meet key team members of the first Hollywood feature film edited on FCPX-Focus. Editor, Jan Kovac, and First Assistant Editor, Michael Matzdorff, as they share their insights on workflow and creativity in FCPX during the keynote presentation.
The warm up sessions were added to allow new users to get up to speed on the basics of FCPX and Motion, while giving power users the opportunity to prepare for their FCPX certification.
“We are excited to offer the industry this unique training opportunity. The non-linear editing (NLE) landscape prompts editors to master multiple software to thrive in the industry and the need for quality training has never been that evident. [FCPX Creative Summit] provides the ideal combination of professional topics to benefit any editor,” stated Future Media Concepts’ President and Co-founder, Ben Kozuch.
Top industry experts and Apple Certified Instructors will present the conference sessions. The speaker lineup includes: Jeff Greenberg - known post-production expert, and Program Manager for the conference, Steve Martin - owner of Ripple Training, and FCP user and trainer since 1999, Marc Spencer - freelance producer, videographer, editor, and Apple Master Trainer, and more. A list of all current speakers can be found here.
