Future Media Concepts (FMC) partners with the National Base for International Cultural Trade (TCDIC) to bring new training to Chinese media leaders and creative professionals

FMC, in collaboration with TCDIC—affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Culture—will deliver two new conferences at the NAB Show Shanghai

New York, NY – July 5, 2016 — Future Media Concepts (FMC), the leading authorized training organization in digital media in the U.S., announced today a strategic partnership with the National Base for International Cultural Trade (TCDIC) in China, supported by the Chinese Government.

FMC will work with TCDIC to bring cutting-edge digital media and entertainment training to Chinese professionals in TV and film.

FMC will produce two conferences at the upcoming NAB Show Shanghai, taking place December 7–8, 2016. The conferences — The Shanghai Post|Production Conference and The NAB Show Shanghai Thought Leadership Conference — target two different groups of professionals: production and post-production, and thought leaders.

“These two conferences are ideal for professionals looking to refresh their creative, technical and business skills, while benchmarking practices with U.S. media professionals,” said Ben Kozuch, FMC Co-Founder. “It is essential in today’s competitive climate that media professionals remain up-to-speed with current tools and trends for creating noteworthy digital projects. We are excited to be working with TCDIC to bring the best leading speakers and instructors from the U.S. to China.”

The Shanghai Post|Production Conference: production and post-production professionals in China can attend two full days of world-class training sessions and workshops designed for digital media professionals including editors, producers, directors, graphic artists, motion graphics designers and new media specialists. The sessions are structured on three parallel tracks and are designed for professionals with a few years of experience, who wish to maximize their creativity and efficiency on the tools of their choice. Sessions are taught by FMC’s world-renowned team of Adobe, Avid and Apple Certified instructors, as well as industry power users and published authors who instruct regularly at the NAB Show’s Post|Production Conference in Las Vegas. The sessions are designed to provide professionals with tips and practices they may apply to their very next project, and will include tracks like Motion Graphics, Editing Workflow, Production Techniques, Color Correction and Grading and Finishing Techniques, VR Production and UAVs.

The NAB Show Shanghai Thought Leadership Conference: The Business of Media and Entertainment — designed for executives and management of organizations involved in the creation, management and distribution of entertainment, business and news content. The three-day event is structured on two parallel tracks and it will feature engaging panel discussions and presentations that will shed light on the latest and most cutting-edge trends and innovations in the TV and media industries. The sessions will highlight the rapidly growing Chinese media and entertainment market and emphasize opportunities for growth and monetization in content delivery, satellite and filmed entertainment. Presenters will include executives and visionaries from leading U.S. and Chinese media organizations, as well as representatives of key exhibitors. As today’s media organizations face an ever-changing environment of emerging new platforms, enhanced formats and experiential technologies, the need for continued learning and enhanced benchmarking practices is imperative.

“TCDIC, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, has the mission to develop and upgrade the Chinese culture and creative industry, including providing professional training and education for professionals working in the creative industry. The huge market potential in China demands well-trained creative professionals. Currently, the professionals in China have the most advanced equipment, but they are short of professional training that will help them fully utilize the tools they already have and maximize their creativity and efficiency,” commented the Managing Director of TCDIC, Weimin Yin. “Thus, we are very happy to work with FMC to bring advanced professional training to China. We believe that our cooperation will help Chinese creative professionals make better artworks and content for the world.”

Providing attendees with the invaluable opportunity to fast-track mastership of their chosen digital tools, the workshops will relay the most dynamic and sought-after industry trends from technical and creative gurus and industry thought-leaders.

FMC and TCDIC will also produce a two-day VR Production Workshop at the Xi’an Silk Road Film Festival September 19–20, 2016.

In addition to the conferences, FMC and TCDIC will establish a permanent training center in Shanghai to provide year-round, on-going schedule of cutting-edge training courses and workshops to the local digital media industry.
