Digital Media DC Conference

WASHINGTON, DC, August 11, 2003 Government Video Technology Expo Announces New DigitalMediaDC Conference Introduction of Expert-Led Educational Sessions Solidifies Partnership Between Videography Magazine and Future Media Concepts. United Entertainment Media, publishers of Videography magazine, and Future Media Concepts, the nation's premier digital media training center, announced today the debut of the DigitalMediaDC Conference as part of this year's Government Video Technology Expo program.

The three-day conference, which runs December 2-4, 2003 at the Washington DC Convention Center, will feature over 75 educational sessions on the latest post-production software including Avid, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, web graphics, web design, sound for video editors, Flash and Dreamweaver, video encoding for DVD and internet, and video production techniques. Additional sessions will explore business networking methods and job-seeking strategies, as well as creative presentations by industry gurus. While DigitalMediaDC will expand the training and educational opportunities available to GV Expo's core audience of government video and communications professionals, the conference also promises to extend its scope beyond the government sphere by providing expert-led sessions to the entire video production and post-production communities.

Designed for intermediate and advanced users who wish to maximize their creativity and efficiency of their software, the sessions will be taught by Future Media Concepts' revered team of Certified Instructors, as well as by industry power users and gurus. We are excited to bring such wealth of information and high-end training to the government and post-production communities of DC and the East Coast, says Ben Kozuch, President of Future Media Concepts and the Chairperson of DigitalMediaDC. We have selected and designed the sessions based on both our experience in providing manufacturer-authorized training for the past 10 years and the specific demand for such training that exists in the DC area. We trust that GV Expo and DigitalMediaDC attendees alike will find great value in the content, and will be able to take away real knowledge and tools they can use on future projects.

Currently in its sixth year, GV Expo is the East Coast's largest government video/multimedia technology trade show and networking event offering attendees exclusive access to the latest, most innovative video technology from the nation's top manufacturers. The two-day GV Expo 2003 will be held December 3-4, 2003 at the Washington DC Convention Center. Produced by United Entertainment Media's Videography magazine, last year's GV Expo was the most successful show in its history, attracting more than 250 of the nation's leading exhibitors and an unprecedented 7,180 registered attendees. Exhibitors already committed to GV Expo 2003 include Apple, Avid, Canon, JVC, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Sharp, Sony and many more. The new partnership forged between Videography magazine and Future Media Concepts will offer this year's GV Expo attendees the most well-rounded and informative experience in the event's six-year history, says Cristina Gallo, Director of GV Expo 2003. In addition to viewing first-hand the latest products impacting the government video and multimedia industries, attendees will now possess the opportunity to learn about how to best incorporate and maximize this technology in their respective crafts.
