Future Media Concepts Adds More TriCaster™ Training as Part of NewTek's New Certified Operator Program

New York, NY – January 23, 2012 - Future Media Concepts (FMC), the nation's premier digital media training organization, today announced that it has expanded its curriculum of certified training for TriCaster™, NewTek's lightweight, portable system that includes all of the tools – including live virtual sets – required to produce, live-stream, broadcast, project, or record a show. The additional course, TriCaster 850, is designed to prepare TriCaster users for the certified operator exam. Live-video producers who pass the exam will be listed on the NewTek website as live production and streaming professionals who meet the NewTek standards of excellence.

"We are now offering the TriCaster certified operator exam and we've been working with NewTek to develop more training to support it," said Jeff Rothberg, FMC president and co-founder. "This new, advanced class will give live-video producers the chance to refine their skills and enhance their marketability."

The TriCaster 850 exam is part of NewTek's new TriCaster certified operator program. To help launch the program, FMC will host an overview at its Orlando, Fla., training center on Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. EST. The presentation will be streamed live to FMC's five other branches using TriCaster. Don Ballance, NewTek's worldwide director of training and education, will present the TriCaster curriculum and show a lesson from the training video that FMC will use in upcoming classes. All FMC branches will be able to participate in a Q&A via Skype.

"Future Media Concepts and other schools have asked for this type of curriculum, and many end-users have asked about where they can take classes to improve their TriCaster skills," said David Hibsher, training programs developer for NewTek. "Future Media Concepts is a well-established learning organization with great respect in the industry, and we felt complimented that they contacted us to begin a TriCaster training program."
